I have selected Norcraft cabinets in oak painted divinity color. The paint on the oak allows the oak woodgrain to show so the cabinet doors have a more natural wood look than smooth painted maple. Divinity has more of a gray undertone than pure white.

Now I am having trouble selecting the countertop. I don’t want to go dark. But most whites don’t look right with the divinity cabinets. I’m currently looking at Cambria new quay - it brings in some warmer tones as well as gray. We are taking out a wall so the kitchen will be open to the dining and living rooms which are furnished in traditional style with blues and yellow fabrics. Any ideas?
