Got my tulips delivered this weekend.

I use red tulips to separate my garlic varieties, dig them up every summer and replant them with the garlic every autumn; so these are my own bulbs that get replanted yearly and seem to really like that handling, since they multiple something like 3X every year. Over the past half dozen years I have used Appeldoorns but they don't get tall enough to escape something apparently eating some of the flowers. So I tried a couple of taller varieties last summer and have settled on one. There was no question which one stood out, Sky High Scarlet, and did it stand out at close to 3' tall, erect with no sloppiness and a full set of bright red flowers than nothing got to. It is also a little later than the Appeldoorns; so it has more of a bed of garlic foliage around it, too. I also got a nice set of full sized bulbs when I dug them last June.

I ordered 25 more bulbs from Brent and Becky which just arrived. I am pretty excited to get them in the ground and see what happens next year.
