That second pic is a scene you'd see in almost any city in Italy, from Florence on down south to Sicily. Are you sure it's in Brazil?

I considered that, but that doesn't look like Brazilian architecture, IMO.

The website is in Portuguese, but the photos could have been copied from anywhere in the world. I've seen the hanging succulent photo before on Facebook and also on Pinterest.

In Ipanema (Rio de Janeiro), people tend to have orchids dripping off their balconies.

You see a lot of that in Thailand, Mexico, and other tropical places.

The resort we stayed at in Phuket was a delight in itself without visiting the outer islands for fabulous beaches, lagoons, etc.
