She was abandoned to a shelter and the guy gave them $200 per cat. Would have adopted both but the woman at the shelter said they never bonded with each other, and Cleopatra was the natural LOVER. My friends were amazed a shelter would let people adopt a black cat right before Halloween, I asked why, and they said, some idiots offer their sacrifice onto to Sat!N. This one is treated like a QUEEN! Gotta be the best behaved cat I ever had. And read that black cats, very high in melanin, are being studied for their superior resistence to disease. Black cat superstion is just a feline equivalent to human, racist ignorance.

I have a void too! She is the best! Unfortunately mine eats any and all plants. She is half the reason why I have only 1 indoor plant. The other half is that, although I do well with outdoor plants, I am not great with indoor ones.

So funny, I told my young grandchildren that I want to adopt a black cat at our local rescue, the “Cat Nap” in HB, CA. We had a black stay that would visit often, we named him “Figaro”, unfortunately, he has since disappeared, need another. Your’s is beautiful!

As I said, the name is perfect, my late ( unfortunately) wife was often told that she looked just like Elizabeth Taylor in Cleopatra, black hair & double row of eyelashes.

Cleopatra is gorgeous! That black coat looks great against the green. It is a relief when cats naturally ignore toxic plants. Many cats show zero interest in chewing them if they have enough stimulation or their own cat grass.
