What are some good guest bedroom design ideas?

I need help finishing my guest bedroom. i have an upholstered dark gray platform bed. I need an idea for what color and style of a night stand to get. The one in the room now is an old one that I am using temporarily. I am open to switching the area rug, the current area rug measures 5 x8.
