I have the age old problem of a ceiling fixture that is centered in the room but not over the dining room table. I don't want to move the fixture and don't like the look of the swag chain. Centering the table moves it in the open flow of the room. Is there some solution I'm missing?

Remove the hanging light completely and use sconces & table lamps instead?

I have the same issue and the chandelier is beautiful, so I don't want to remove it, so I think I'm going to cover the chain with a silk chandelier chain cover.

Thanks for the input. I think my only option is to change to a round table instead of the rectangle one I have now.
