I think a black table would complement the mirror better than the brown and you need larger décor pieces on the table

Do you need the console? How large is the landing? Agree with above comment: a large piece of artwork might be more interesting and suited to the space.

Before you replace what you already have (and there’s nothing wrong with mixing black and brown), why not try some accessorizing first? Bring home some lamps to try. I can’t tell from your picture, but guessing you’d need something medium-sized in your style (modern?). What I can see there would be something with a black shade and an interesting base. I would put a low watt bulb in it and leave it on. Once that decision is done, you can play with other accessories. Good luck!

IMO the mirror is reflecting nothing worth seeing twice which IMO is the first step in mirror placement . Why not get a nice bright piece of art there instead and it would be nice to actually see the whole space .
