We are having wainscoting panels installed in our living room. One of the walls has a window that is off-centered. I photoshopped the two different layout options.

Option 1: center the panels on the wall with all panels having the same width.

Option 2: center the panels under the window, but end up with different width panels.

My general contractor likes option 1 and my carpenter likes option 2. Please help us decide. Your votes and thought are greatly appreciated.
