Clearly not just beige..

I have been left to choose a paint colour to go with this tile in the laundry room. Clearly its not beige like everyone is saying... Ive tried grays, yellows... i dislike taupe...shall i just do white? Would love some help. There currently white appliances (washer, dryer) and a expresso cabinet in there for storage up above.

Go darker. I had B.M. Alexandria Beige in my bedroom. Loved it.

what's the lighting in there? if your bulbs are warm, it will cast yellow tones. aim for the 4000K range.

grays and yellows won't work because it's a pink undertone. like Taupe.

. but you don't like it? this one should be dead on-

(shoot for a white w/a red/pink undertone instead of yellow or blue)

Or, go in a diff direction:

you can paint those ceramic tiles you know.

You can use a warm white, a light beige, or a very light blue/green. Try SW Shoji White for a neutral with a bit of color. Also take into account what color walls you have in adjacent rooms, so the colors coordinate. I would keep the walls light in a laundry area. Put down a runner to cover some of the floor tiles.

@Beth H. : I went in both SW and BM and purchased some samples that you suggested... while i was there i did see classic gray in BM do you think that may work... the only reason i ask is a friend has 2 cans left over....no biggie if no... was just curious. Thankyou

ask the friend if you can borrow one and paint a small section with it. all depends on your lighting.

@Beth H Hi there, I took your advice and painted the laundry wall with classic gray ...just 2 walls..I have a lot of natural light and this paint colour seems to change throughout the day... Any opinions? I don't mind changing the colour if it's wrong...I have 2 weeks off. :)

This is how it turned out

Have you looked at any greens? BM Texas Sage is a color that I used in a kitchen once that had pinkish pickled oak cabinets. It's a great color and helped tone down the cabinets a lot.

I'm worried any green undertones will make the pink worse on this gross tile....

i think it works. i'm only seeing close ups, so don't know about an overall look.

    do you like it?

and, you could always get a large sisal or jute rug (or any other color that works) to cover the majority of that tile.

I'm not 100% but it's not too bad.
