If you have purchased the fan, my suggestions won’t be of help. I don’t see a connection between the aviation wood fan and your pendants.

I find the glare from that kind of pendant's shade really bothersome. If you use a spot light shining down, it may be okay, but I hate it with regular bulbs.

not bad, maybe just not enough. you're not going to clutter. do the ones above look cluttered?

It's the spacing issue. 12" wide is small when you have 8' to cover. if you had a 4' island like I have, then two is fine.

try this measurement as a guide

so 8' is 96". your pendants are 12" youre either going to have a gaping hole in the middle of the island, OR, the ends will be very under-lit.

these are prob 18" and the island is maybe 8'

here's 3 about your size and also looks like 7'. (visually, 3 is more of a pleasing number)

you could always get the two, but before cutting the ceiling, hold them over the space and see how the two look. (or, get something wider if you only want two)

Can I chime in with I would rather see 2 island pendants and NO pendant over the sink. if any area will look crowded and block the view it would be that area. I love the fan you picked btw. Hudson valley will most definitely have something to work with all of that. What does the table look like?
