J channel for metal roofing

Hello! I'm building a firewood shed. I'm putting a steel roof on, which I haven't yet fully secured because I'm not sure how to do the flashing or drip edge. The roof slopes 1/4 rise/run. I need to cover the ridges on the roofing and the 2x4 joists. I thought that I'd use a drip edge to cover the joists, and a J channel to cover the ridges on the top edge. Then on the bottom edge, just use drip edge. Please advise. Thanks!
