Bob, leaf analysis is not difficult, especially in the case of citrus. All it takes is a little study and memorization. It is actually quite straight forward. The citrus leaf is in its self a picture book of diseases and deficiencies.

Jodi, if you already knows much about it, you are right. Me, if I look at a leaf, I’ll be scratching my head, asking what it is, you are probably much younger.

We do a leaf analysis once a year by a laboratory; it tells us what is in the plant and what it needs. Soil analysis is a poor substitute; as it only tells you what is in the soil; not what the plant can utilize. Jodi is right about the appearance of the leaf showing the deficiencies; but by that time you are already fighting an uphill battle... better to be ahead of the curve.

Sounds good, John and Jodi. If my trees don't look dark or light green it does need some kind of research I like ll my trees look healthy all the time, and no second guessing.

Actually the pictures are not very good at all, It looks like they used the same picture for various deficiencies. By looking at those pictures one would not be able to discern the problem, they would have to just make a guess.

I make no claims as to the wonderfulness and accuracy of the posted picture. I shared something I found quickly, I'm sure better pictorial examples exist. Feel free to share.
