Dining Room Decor

We just got these two tables because we couldn’t decide. I think the circular table is just too small but love the rectangle.

I need help dressing up this room. What color chairs should I get? Help!?!

How many do you want to seat? Does that white unit stay on the back wall of the dining area? By the time you have the rectangular table out far enough to use chairs behind it, the table and chairs on the other side look like they would be in the walkway. You could fit three chairs on each side with the ends open. But I think round is likely best for your space. The round table you have may be too small though. What size is it? It almost looks like an entry table rather than dining table height.

Round table looks too small for your space. Rectangular table looks too big. Both tables don't look right in your space.

Thanks! The round table is 54” diameter and 29” tall. The white kerosene unit is hopefully being removed if I can talk my husband into it since we got mini splits this summer.

I was thinking of maybe getting two benches and a chair for either end but can’t decide on finishes.

That rectangular table simply doesn't fit into your space and doesn't work with the shape of your tray ceiling detail.

What's with the glare from your chandelier? It's too small and mounted too high. Usually lanterns with glass are used outside and again the shape is not working with your tray ceiling shape. There are octagon shaped lanterns that would have worked better in the space.

The mirror of the area is not working either. Some type of art, without any glass on the face would work in this space to brighten the area.

A round table would fit the room so much better. It requires at least 36" of space around the table for chairs, so use the chart below and determine what will fit in your space.

These fixtures would have worked in your space.

Thanks! I was very picky with picking light fixtures. I really like the one that I have but see what you’re saying. I’m also hoping to work with the rectangle table since we won’t always live in this space and it fits more. We got a killer deal on both of these tables but a larger circular table was what I was searching for. I really like the drawings, so thank you! I’ll measure the space and replace the mirror with some side by side art. I should be able to lower the light.

Get what's right for this house. I thought I was moving in 6 months and that was 13 years ago. Besides by the time you move, you will want a different table.

Kitchen or can u paint the center to a neutral color. Or hall or bath. We need clocks when cell phone is dead.
