Did you see anything on it that would eat it? I ask because for years I thought earwigs were attacking my Autumn Joy sedum and taking chunks out of the edges until I witnessed goldfinches sitting in the leaves and nipping them!!! Argh! At least I solved my mystery. Good luck.

it looks like a kalanchoe. They are usually happy with watering in two weeks or so. The flaccid leaves means it is either under or overwatered, more likely the latter. Overwatering causes the stem at the base to rot and shrivel up. Check if that is the case here. I have never seen larger bugs eating up the leaves of a kalanchoe, only aphids and mealey bugs, which are much smaller and do not cause such damage....
