The easiest way is to grab your tank and take it in to the OPE shop for a new filter and line. They will take the line off the roll, hook it to a filter and pull it through. the short pieces of OEM line can be a pain.

yeah there's a couple places by me but they'll be closed by the time I get home. perhaps I should just order something and be ready for next week end

if you have a home depot nearby, they carry fuel line replacements kits.

Yeah most local box stores or auto supply have most line sizing on a spool in emergency situations , otherwise ordering online can supply you with Premium line that will outlast most engine applications " Tygon is an example of a premium fuel line "

Gees, I never thought that Home Depot may have fuel line. But then again, I buy my lumber at the grocery store....
