Can you move your cat tree to the other side of the couch and fit a table in its place?

It appears some "designer" felt that window/bar was sufficient?

Is this a rented apartment you cannot significantly change? If so, you might invest in a set of sturdy tv tables for yourself (and your partner if you have one) and consider a drop leaf table you can push against the wall out of the way or pull out into the living room to use for dining when you have more than two people.

This is a condo that we just bought. We are taking out the cat tree and i am hoping a dining table will fit. I actually hate that window/bar and once we have budget, we‘re taking that out but for now, I looking for a fix

Can you show pics of the rest of your living room? I would not put the table over by the cat tree because it seems out of the way there and like it might not get use. Can you move your living room furniture closer to the far end of the living room and set up a table just across from the breakfast bar and kitchen door?

I would also move the bathroom door to the hallway ..anyone staying with you dose not have bathroom to use

A condo building often has rules and regulations which must be followed. Any physical changes you consider making will have to be approved in advance before you do anything. Your best bet is to create a dining area with furniture placement that does not require construction. I suggest you reduce the amount of living room furniture (get rid of the gray sectional) and rearrange the beige set to allow placement of a table and chairs across from the kitchen bar (it looks cramped, so ditch the stools). A drop-leaf table is an excellent idea because it can be reconfigured to take up less space when not in use. You will need to store four folding chairs in one of the utility closets and leave two chairs for daily use with one side of the table up and the side toward the wall folded down. If your new furniture arrangement faces toward the right top of the diagram, there should be enough space on the left toward the kitchen to open the table to seat six when you entertain. An area rug in the living room zone will bring in color and texture. The dining area may not work with a rug because you will need to move the table when entertaining. Hang art on the wall and use a tablecloth or place mats for color in the dining area. Hang art in the living room area, too.
