Well privacy from outside i am Ok. The issue i have is when attending to someone at the door, the outsider can view all the way down to the living room. It is the view from from door to the living, i would like to add a barrier of sort, not completely blocking, but more subtle and looks nice. Looking more for ideas more than anything.

Someone in your foyer or outside at the front door?

Looking at a new build and I might have the same issue. Current house is very private with no ability to see in from outside.

No one is outside lurking around looking into the house. I just like to have that disconnect from entrance to the living.

We lost most of our privacy when open concept was deemed "best".

you don't want a delivery guy to know you have a living room?!?

Have you considered a video doorbell? Sounds like you have a fair amount of visitors or perhaps deliveries, and you could deal with them remotely.

Not sure how budget friendly they would be, but how about French doors at the entrance to the room.

Maybe just 2 tall potted plants.

You could have some panels made by this company. Probably won't be cheap.

i also prefer not giving a view to our living room when i answer the door notjust for deliveries but even neighbors or friends dropping off something because it’s usually a mess back there :). Also it’s a little unsettling for person sitting on couch with back to door if visitor’s at the door.

What’s between the two archways? Looks like it might be a dining room? If so, adding table with tall centerpiece or low-ish pendant above may help block the view to the back. Otherwise, i’d also try the tall plant idea.
