I bought this vanity from Houzz a few months ago (Tristan Vanity With Top, Antique Coffee, 31" White Carrara) and the contractor installed it this past Saturday. I wasn't there during the install and when I got home later that day I noticed some water sitting on the vanity top. I wiped it up with a clean cloth and noticed where the water sat was a darker color. I assumed this would go away after the water was wiped up but it's Monday and it still looks the same. We haven't used this sink at all. The sink basin came already attached to the top so I don't think it's any kind of adhesive or putty coming through from underneath. The top didn't look like this until after install. You can see in the close up picture that there is a second band of discoloration in spots radiating out from the darker area. What can I do to get rid of this discoloration? I've read a suggestion about putting unbleached flour on these spots. I don't think this is etching I think it is just where water has absorbed but should it take this long for it to evaporate out? Should I apply a sealer to the top after the spots are remedied? Any advice/ information is greatly appreciated.
