I might do it soon. 2) I have company coming Saturday so I will clean. 3) I wish I'd get motivated to get back on my fewer calories/carb diet (I mean, way of life). I'd have to make a plan and get the right things to eat/get rid of any bad things (not that many, actually).

I wish I were living in my new house with my old house sold.

I wish I had my walk over with and supper made. I also wish that my purse could be magically cleaned out, since I've been accumulating way too many candy wrappers, sales slips, etc. and I want it tidy for tomorrow. None of that will happen, though. lol!

I had surgery on my left wrist last week and on my face (right cheek, just under my eye) yesterday, and so I am having trouble wearing glasses. My wrist is almost healed, but I have to keep the stitches for another week, and then next week they will remove all of my remaining stitches.

So, I wish I could sleep with my CPAP machine, which at present does not fit over the bandage on my cheek. I may have to try to replace the current bandage with a thinner one and see if that will work. Anyway, I can certainly sympathize with Madonna! Hope you get better soon also. What kind of surgery was it, and how did you get to and from the doctor's office? I used Lyft, which is paid for by my insurance when I am unable to drive.

I would also like to have my house cleaned and some plants repotted in my back yard. My chili plants are getting root-bound, and I want to have them keep growing.

I wish I could breathe (Fall allergies). I wish I could find the phone numbers of the people I need to call and enough non-stuffiness to call them. I wish I were on the done side of all my pending kitchen projects so instead of resting and reading the forum thinking guiltily about the calls and kitchen work that need doing I could just rest and read the forum. :)

This may sound odd, but I wish I was working. My boss hasn't needed me this week. I wish I could go house hunting. Our house is on the market, but I need to wait for a contract to go looking. I wish I could pack, but mostly it's done, and the rest is hidden out of sight.

Not working, nothing to clean, the yard is done. Can't cook during the day because someone might want to come through . I'M BORED!

I wish my daughter and I could both play hooky from work and go hang out. When she was still in grade school every once in a while, we’d play hooky to go do something fun. Those days were magical.

I wish I had both the time and energy to do a deep cleaning and get rid of a lot of junk we never use.

My sympathies, Lars. I can at least still use my CPAP. I had surgery for Carpal Tunnel and think I've already damaged it today. Will call Plastics at the VA tomorrow and ask them. I'm a Vietnam era veteran and get all my medical needs from the VA. It's a 1 hr. 15 minute drive there in Indianapolis and I drove myself. The only problems coming home was had to turn the key to start as well as put in drive with my left hand as well as having to reach across the steering wheel with my left hand to turn on the wiper blades. Did that at a stop light. I'm alone and there were a few things I did with my right hand today that I shouldn't have. Hope you're doing better and heal quickly.

Any thing but what I am doing this week. DH had a CT this AM. They found a mass in his kidney on a US. I don't have a good feeling about what the report will show.

I have an additional imaging tomorrow for an abnormal mammogram. No big deal I am prone to cysts and calcium deposits. Thursday I have to have a degrading old filling repaired. Too many doctor appointments.

I'm with bath and want to clean my carpets. I always like to get them done before the Christmas decorations go up. Crossing my fingers it happens, but my gut doesn't think it is going to happen.

I wish I could take a long hot soak in a big old-fashioned clawfoot tub. All we have is a shower stall. Sigh.

Gardening catalogs are already rolling in ... I'm ready for it to be spring LOL.

And I wish our ongoing front porch remodel were done so I could just sit & admire it instead of trying to figure out how much, realistically, we might get done tomorrow. My hubby is determined that we will do the whole thing all by ourselves. Bang Head Here.

I wish some magic genie would come in and wash my 78 windows. A friend said he'd do it for $10 each or, I wish I had a magic genie to pay him to do them.

I'd rather be hugging my nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews but they are in CA and I'm in NC and I'd hate the whole day's waste of flying cramped, twice.

The third thing would be to have my DH's family come to our house for Thanksgiving so I can cook all week but they say "we live too far away" so they have it at one of their houses - a whole 50 minute drive away - so then we can drive the 50 minutes to their house which they do not think is too far away for us to do. >>sigh<<

I wish my MIL would say yes to moving into care (where she really needs to be) and we were moving her in this week.

I wish my MIL lived in care so we could actually take holidays and be on one this week.

Dawn, I think it's an artifact of wishing. When we wish for things we could be doing, as stated by the OP, we're talking about the things we feel we can't do. So I'll go farther (keeping to wishing rules that one has to wish for one's self, not some global goodness):

I wish I could be dancing en pointe without blisters or blood, and with all the extension of my teen years, but none of the injuries from being too limber.

I wish I could be singing the way it sounds in my head, with accuracy.

I wish I could be sharing the time and my songs and dances with all the people I treasure, all together, with no considerations of time or space or logistics.
