A powder room should be a space where you can go a little crazy with design. A well designed powder can be dramatic! Maybe something like this. And I don't mean this exactly but am hoping this photo can help you think beyond the nice and normal and into the daring and dramatic! Good luck!

It's difficult to tell that the sink is gray. There is a lack of cohesiveness. Are you replacing anything?

the vanity style is generic. it doesn't match the mirror/light style.

So, how much do you want to spend and what look do you want?

if you must keep that vanity and sink, then you'll have to bring in simpler looking lighting and mirror. you could do a bold wallpaper though.

or you could do something like this w/tile

What colors are in adjoining rooms? What is floor material and color?

How wild would you want to go. Love this look. Paint existing vanity and do new dramatic hardware. Your white commode works with great, fun wallpaper.

Idk how much you aim to change it - if vanity is a bit darker than the floor, I'd try chalk paint on it for a more elegant look [though I can't tell how dressy the vanity is]...?

Along that same line: the mirror almost fills the space too much / and if used still, could become visually less large with chalk paint, or other.... remove the art and try a rectangular canvas piece maybe... or is there anything in your home that might be quirky/ whimsy there?

Start by closing the toilet seat; especially for pix, kinda like seeing a fella with his fly unzipped!

The floors are a medium stained hickory. The adjacent room is the dining room and foyer.

The dining room is a pale green and the foyer is a BM Abington Putty.

If the room or cabinet is gray, you need lighting that doesn’t make it all appear golden. Try a white white light bulb. If the room is gray, you may want to do the mirror in silvery paint.

LED bulbs in the 4000k range for true color.

Given your adjoining spaces, I found some wallpapers that are unique but blend with your existing color palette. Btw, very pretty home. Nicely done.

Paint the walls white and get a beautiful mirror, new lighting, and new artwork. If wallpaper is in your budget, splurge and go for the expensive stuff. There are some great high end papers out there that are a real wow factor, but expensive and you want an excellent paper hanger.

You said earlier that the vanity isn't a blend with mirror/light -- can we see a good photo of it? with floor.

I just saw your chairs of green - why not go with a green vanity - paint it.

Though I usually hang a canvas picture above my toilet, you could skip it cause of mirror's visual presence - instead place a pretty tray on toilet tank.... or something with height.

Idk about these, but you get my idea to place a few glass bottles or such on them, facial tissues whatever...

You could paint the wall or get some wallpaper to help freshen up the bathroom. Also, I would get a newer mirror and lighting.

I have a small power room and when I renovated it I added wallpaper and a darker paint for a more dramatic look and feel.
