Can you post pictures of the space. This is such a unique piece you may be better off doing something that is built in and blends into the wall and leaving this as the showpiece.

Jennifer shoot I was at house today but just took photo of floor but it’s gutted now and just empty space . It’s about 10 feet wide by 10 feet deep space then pool bath in small connecting rm..

Ty London staging .. I knew when I purchased this vanity I couldn’t have another piece next to it with the same Wow factor.. So I figured I’ll just put a mirror over the vanity and a great painting over the storage cabinet..

How will this room be used? Will it be used a changing area for the pool? Will you be having a lot of guests using it or will it be primarily used by your family?

@Sammy its the powder room that leads through a separate shower area that leads to the lanai .. It’s just my husband and I but we keep grand child over Etc.. So no, will not be used much at all . But I do look forward to bday pool parties .. : )

Maybe an open type wrought iron piece to just lay damp towels on if this is the pool bath.

I would probably do a simple bench with a black base, patterned seat that had some of the taupe coloring in it and some black shelving, but if I were to choose a storage piece from above I would pick this piece. The curves coordinate nicely with the show piece.

@Carla T I didn’t think of that . I can put it in the shower area tho ..

How do you feel about the idea of a vanity in that area? Obviously the photos I’m showing are for example purposes only...

@Sammy wow ! Those are all gorgeous but won’t be utilized at all . Being that I’ll have one in my master bathroom and another one in my den/converting to my she shed dressing room.. But great idea !

I figured it was worth a try. ;)

Shop thrift stores until you find an upscale analog-sized tv cabinet with doors and drawers (few if any open shelves) and add shelves inside where the large tv was intended to sit. Then paint it, inside and out, the same color as your vanity. You might even be able to add mirrors to any solid doors or replace any clear glass in any door with mirrors.

@Sammy actually looking at the first photo again that space and size is almost identical to area across from where vanity will go ..

@suezbell oh boy , I use to be Ms crafty craft hunting for that special piece, spending tons of $$$@ Michaels only to end up with a closet full of fails of these majestic creations I had envisioned in my head of, (Lucy Ricardo style) attempts.. My hubby wld always brace himself for cc bill.. : (

I agree with Jennifer Hogen, have something built to house your towels. You already have two closed storage pieces (vanity & matching tall wardrobe), another closed cabinet piece would make your bathroom look like a small furniture showroom and take away from the two lovely pieces you’ve already purchased. You need something that looks totally different and I posted two photos to give you an idea of what I’m thinking of. Mix and match what you have displayed on the open shelves - towels, baskets, lotions/potions, etc..

I would do 2 rows of open shelving directly across from vanity in the dark color of the top and with either invisible or gold brackets. Nice neat clean look with your picture above. This is my opinion but too many build in/cabinets start to look sterile whereas the openness will give a soft warmth to the room still being neat. Your taste is Beautiful I know it will look great whatever you choose!

Well actually I didn’t buy the matching storage tower. Not a big fan of matchy matchy. I really have my heart set on putting a large painting in there & that wld be only wall available across from vanity. I’m leaning towards a bench or console table now with all the advice I’ve gotten & I’ll put a small storage cabinet or shelves in shower area for towels .. This is the shower off of powder rm in the works . Any of these ?
