Inlet valve is leaking ... hot or cold, probably not both. Turn off the supply faucets when done using the machine, that should stop the problem until you can get the part changed. You can pinpoint whether hot or cold is the fault by turning off only the respective faucet to see which one stops the accumulating water ... but valves are typically an assembly of both, not each one a separate part so that doesn't have a bearing on the fix.

Best not to rely on shutting off the faucets as a "permanent" fix ... the leak could get worse over time such that the water keeps running during operation.

You do mean the valves (Handles) on the wall, right? Not something inside the machine. I should call a plumber?

Dadoes is telling you the Bosch water inlet valve in your washer is leaking/failing. That would be an appliance service person, not a plumber. Or, do you DIY at all? I changed the water inlet valve in my older Maytag. I don't know how successful I would be with this last washer with its electronic panel - it's a different beast ;0) (with the older washer, I bought the part from repairclinic.com and they sent instructions on how to install when I requested)

If you were to turn off the water handles at the wall one at a time, you would know if its the hot water inlet valve in your washer or the cold water inlet valve that is failing. If you turn off both, it will stop the water from accumulating in your washer until you can get the washer fixed.

We have a different brand washer that the valves went bad on, mine got to the point that they kept filling and draining during the rinse so it didn’t function. My husband and I replaced them fairly easily, with the help of YouTube :) I think ours was the cold but we replaced the hot too since it was cheap.

The configuration linked above has separate solenoids for hot and cold (although cold is a dual-solenoid assembly for directing water flow separately to the dispensers).

You all are so very helpful! Thanks, it's earlier than a NEXXT, but a full sized model. I'll probably call the repair people because hubs doesn't want to deal with plumbing.
