Karran vs Blanco sinks

We are doing a kitchen remodel. Want an undermount sink. Would you recommend a Blanco or Karran sink? I heard Karran is just as good. Do they both clean well? Any recommendation on this and would you do white or grey color? Have Cambria Ella for countertops, white perimeter cabinets with stained island. Thank yo!

I am not certain of what material sink you are talking about, since you didn’t say, but I will assume a composite sink. Blanco‘s Silgranit is the leader of the pack in this type of material. Is the price difference that significant? I would choose Blanco all day long. Having said that, avoid white or cream composite sinks. The whites/creams behave differently from the darker colors, and stain more easily.

I am only familiar with Blanco silgranite. If you chip it, which could happen, there is no way to fix it. Something for you to consider.

What brand/type would you recommend? Thanks for your help!

Have you decided on the configuration of your sink? One bowl or two? Width?

I do not have a brand to recommend, but I think in future I would go with a stainless steel sink. Also, keep in mind that cambria quartz is not as durable as they say. It could chip and they charge quite abit to fix the chips. I have a Blanco silgranite sink and cambria quartz counter tops. I am very careful but have a chip in my sink - not sure what caused it. I also have tiny chips in my quartz and not sure what is causing these too. Not sure what to recommend as they look beautiful but are not as durable as they told me.

I’ve thought about stainless but hear they scratch so easy. I just dont want to have regrets but seems like there are downsides to everything. Thank you!

hope002-I saw this post as I am researching these options for a new sink as well. What did you decide to go with, and are you happy with it?

We did the Karran 60/40 and have had it about a year now and love it. Ordered off Amazon which I linked below. its been easy to keep clean and I like having the 60/40 for thawing, etc. Questions let me know. Thx!

That’s great to hear! Thank you so much!!!!

@hope002 what color did you go with?

Concrete. We have white quartz countertops with grey veining and the concrete color blends in perfect.

I just ordered the Karran 60/40 sink in concrete today. Good to hear you like it. I'm also gettin a white quartz countertop with grey veins.

Guys!! I’m having this exact dilemma! My countertops will be gray quartz with white veining and I would like a quartz or granite composite sink but I think I want it in white. I’m worried about staining, chipping, hard water marks… I could go with a gray or concrete color if it went ok with the gray countertops.

What did you all choose and are you still happy?

    Any input is aopreciated!!

Elkay Quartz Luxe remains the premium composite sink. Get the samples of each and see for yourself please. Karran makes a nice composite.

These sinks are quartz. There is too much mica, feldspar, and other oddities in granite to make a sink out of no matter what the manufacturers say.

Thank you for the info Joseph, I really appreciate it!

I find quartz to be preferable over granite from my understanding anyway so thats great to hear!

Do you have any thoughts on Kohler Neoroc in comparison to these other manufacturers?

    I don't know about Neoroc.
