Kitchen Sink: Anyone purchase from Costco?

We are nearing the time in our reno when we must be ready with our new undermount kitchen sink. I am looking at all options for a 36" base cabinet. I was totally sold on 50/50 granite or stainless, but now I am not sure. I like 50/50 as a place to drain and dry dishes and also for access even when someone is washing dishes.

I am now looking at a few options from Costco because they make life easier with returns if I am not happy with what arrives (we also live very close to Costco).

I am in Canada. I haven't found much for deals at Home Depot, Lowes, Rona or Home Hardware.

Any sink advise to share?

PS - we are doing what will work for us, not for resale.

@Shannon_WI I am seriously considering the single Hahn. We are a busy family of 5 and I can't imagine not having double, but might do the dishpan trick that some have mentioned. https://www.costco.ca/hahn-chef-series-handmade-extra-large-single-bowl-sink.product.100140787.html

I personally have not purchased a sink from Costco, but the Kraus brand of sink that they carry gets lots of love on this forum, and has for quite a number of years. A lot of bang for the buck. I have also heard good things about the Hahn sinks. You should look for a 16-gauge sink (which is thicker than 18-gauge or 20-gauge). I advise against the double bowls you have pictured in your OP. Get a single bowl sink. If you must get a double-bowl sink (which I would think about very hard before you do that), do not get a 50-50. Get a 60-40 or a 70-30.

On the topic if sinks - we are down to our options in stainless or granite composite. Thoughts? Also, with an undermount apron sink. does it make sense for it to "fill" the base cabinet, or is smaller okay? Our cabinet is 36" and I am thinking of going 33" with the apron front OR regular sink. Both say they need a minimum base cabinet of 36".

The sink you posted a link to is high quality and gets lots of good reviews. Just be aware that the corners are pretty square, which may mean a little more effort is needed to keep those areas clean of scum.

@kudzu9 - that would be the case if @kel_kat5’s linked Hahn sink was a “zero-radius” sink. Meaning a sink with sharp 90° corners. It is not. The description in the link says “Slight Corner Radius — HAHN sinks featured slightly rounded corners that allow for easy cleaning.” While I don’t have a Hahn sink, my undermount rectangular single-bowl also has slightly rounded corners. They look great, very professional, yet also easy to clean. I think the linked Hahn sink will be an excellent choice, and there will not be any problems with cleaning the corners.

M Miller - Thanks for the clarification. My daughter has a sink that is similar-looking to the Hahn and told me she has that problem. Glad to hear that it's not an issue with this particular model.

Thanks everyone. I really like the idea of a 60/40 31" interior, 10 deep. At this point, I can probably do the Hahn apron or a similar Hahn single basin.

@m_miller the risk is with scratching on the outside front and the top ledge.
