The art you have hanging looks really off. It's hung a bit high, but the square shape just doesn't look right. and neither does the design. it competes w/the stone movement.

you could try black and white or something very muted. this shape (rectangle) and image design, doesn't compete w/the stone like the other one does

I'd leave it blank, or if you have the room to walk by, perhaps do a taller potted plant.

I was thinking something was a bit off. I have no room for a pot by the way. So even if I got a more rectangle piece, it would still compete or depends on content?

Every space does not have to be filled, especially a space that has its own interest like the fireplace wall. Leave it alone; let it make its own statement..

No art IMO you have a lot going on on the TV wall I think leaving some bare wall space works

Not loving the art. However, maybe you could add a black mantel that runs the width of the wall, or play with black paper cut about that size and tape it across to see how it looks. It might tie the other area together better. Keep us posted!

Have tried different things and it makes the wall look too busy. Just enjoying the wall on its own. Thank you all for your input.
