Yes love the idea of artwork and changing the lighting but bedding first!

Beth, do you like this bedding from West Elm. The color is called horseradish. I also have a bathroom with yellow

The rug and dresser and night stands were given to us by friends’ parents who downsized so I’m working with what I have. We are not sure at this point this is our forever home as our family has grown so I’m trying not to go too crazy but we want it to be nice.

And I’m not scared to mix some contemporary like the bed with what I have!

if you did your walls in that yellow w/the stencil, I think the west elm would look nice.

but since you have more green and a rather busy looking rug, I'd try and match those. maybe you could bring in a nice yellow throw.

for now, look for something in the greens/linen, off white, or that pewter/beige color.

    I like something like this

(remove the gold frame art next to window,. I think some art like this would look better

you have some nice light in there. can you do some plants? put one on the left nightstand

or hang it. pillows are a sage w/white stripes.

Hi P, is the rug staying? If so is it in browns?

With your current rug and bedside tables These would. work. I would change your sconces to the adjustable armed ones over the bedside tables and bring in a chandelier instead of the flush mounted light. Not pictures but I would do some natural drapery panels at the windows.

I like the idea of an all white bed since you have a lot of pattern going on in the rest of the room. I would buy white sheets, a white coverlet or quilt and then a white duvet for the end of the bed folded. add euro shams and then a couple accent pillows in front of the euro shams
I would do accent pillows in a textural fabric that isnt white. something like this. not sure of your budget, but I tend to want to touch and feel the bedding so I like going to a store vs online. I personally like pottery barn but not sure of your budget. I like target too.
