I also have maple cabinets and I am planning on painting mine white. They still function well. It's just that the finish is not that great. You will get a LOt of advice here, lol. Houzzers are very helpful! So, white cabinets with yellow walls or a tan just dark enough so your white cabs and trim stand out?

A deep lavender wall colour in the kitchen would compliment the cabinets if you didn't plan on repainting them. If you do decide to paint the cabinets, a mocha colour would work well with the granite.

Am contemplating maple cabinets in my kitchen but a honey spice. The ones that turned color, were they the "natural" maple without a stain? Were they sealed? Would the honey spice turn color also??

Paint cabinets a cream. With a chocolate glaze. Oil bronze hardware and facet. Are you keeping white appl. I would upgrade to stainless. You get 110% back in kitchens and bath remodel. Upgrade. Is the best thing you can do. Put in laminates though out. Med to dark. Wide planks. carpet is fine for bedrooms but no where else.laminates can go in kitchen and bath. Yr granite will work. Recess lighting though home. Then use area rugs in front of sofa for color and texture. You will have a great home to enjoy until you sell at a great price.

Paint all walls throughout, the same a taupe with gray undertones. Get samples try on walls. We can not see true colors on computer.
