And just for fun, here's one we came up with so far

Your layout is a good starting point. In the bath, I would pull make the vanity the full 7-1/2' so there is adequate separation between the sinks and not a dead corner by the door. The shower could be reduced by a foot to 3' x 5' which would allow 4' of space between shower and vanity. At the closet I would eliminate the door from the stair hall to give more wall space inside, also maybe make a pocket door between bath and closet. A 5' linen closet is excessive but perfect for a side-by-side washer dryer if plumbing allows. In the bedroom, putting the bed on the long side wall would allow room for a nice sitting area on the opposite shorter wall near the front window.

I have a question about the toilet. Does the little wall you drew have to stay there too? I totally get needing the drain to stay where it is, but can the toilet rotate on that drain or is that then an issue with the closet bend underneath. Ie does the closet bend have to be in a certain direction with the toilet? I guess I'm wondering if you can rotate the toilet 90 degrees or even 180 degrees. Not sure it matters if you do, but may allow you to think of other options.

Lyfia- no that wall doesn’t have to stay! We can absolutely rotate the toilet in towards the room... I got to drawing this layout and then forgot to stop after the skeleton of it was drawn lol.

RappArchitecture- I love the idea of a sitting room! I agree we'll definitely need a pocket door both in to the bathroom and into the closet. If we removed the linen closet- would you add that square footage to any of the other rooms or does it become an XL hallway? You’re right it would be perfect the laundry but we have that in the 2nd floor stacked in a closet :)

It would only make sense to add it to the bedroom but I'm not sure how useful the space would be.
