New rescue! Say hello to Brownie!

Say hello to Brownie, I just adopted him from a local rescue. He came up to WNY from NC, we seem to always get southern dogs up here in rescues. His back story that I was told, is he was found by a farmer in a leg trap in his field, though his leg is mostly fine, occasionally tender.

The rescue thinks he was dumped in the country by someone, and that's how he ended up in the farmers field. They think he's about a year old, 20 lbs.,

He and my female, Shiloh, are having a great time playing together ... Rocky my older male is basically ignoring him.

Just got him Saturday, so we're working on the potty training schedule, no accidents since yesterday morning! He's a real sweetie.

Rescues are the very best, says this mom of 3. I love Brownie's markings and he DOES look so happy! Congrats on a wonderful family of 3 pups who love each other.

My three are color coordinated, too, and wonderful cuddlers.

Hi All, Brownie is settling in well, we're still working on a potty schedule, but he's coming around.

Shiloh loves to play with Brownie, which is one of the reasons I adopted another dog. She loves to play and Rocky's too old and doesn't want to play.

Rocky's the old man (10+), so he just ignores the kids! LOL!

He looks like a happy guy, that tail is a blur in his photo. Funnay about names. I was just posting my rescue who came with the name, Blu on the post about dog food. She is brown, cinnamon and black brindle.

So, should Brownie and Blu exchange names? He looks like he might have some gray (err - blue in the dog world) on him! I love his blonde and gray dapple.

Hi Iris, he's a very cool dog and doing well. 5 weeks in now and mostly adjusted to our schedule. Plays with Shiloh constantly, and she's lost 3 lbs. since he arrived! He even gets the old guy Rocky to play once in a while, which is amazing. He's a great addition to our pack!

It sounds like Brownie was the perfect add to your household.

My3dogs, yours are very handsome. My two rescues have the same coloring as each other, as well. I learned long ago that having a mostly light and a mostly black dog meant that there was no outfit I could wear that would not show dog hair.
