Yes, we had the contractor join the edges in a modified butt joint.

Anyfeed back on maintenance of the ikea wood counter ? Especially in places beside the oven or the sink? It looks great new but what about a few months?

it looks really good but needs regular maintenance. for hard living kitchens that means sanding and oiling. and not letting water sit on the counter.
