Nottingham Quartz, warm backsplash, what paint color for cabinets?

I want to update my kitchen without putting too much money into it. My husband and I decide we would have our cabinets professional painted. Although I know white is in, I don’t know if it would complement the Nottingham quartz by Cambria, and the warm backsplash? Although we don’t want to, due to the work that would go into it, we would be willing to change the backsplash Any suggestions on cabinet paint would be greatly appreciated, along with wall paint. We plan replacing appliances as well

Honestly, I love the colour of your cabs with the counter. I'd put your money into changing the backsplash before I would paint the cabs.

Thank you for your response. We just feel oak cabinets are out of style and lighter cabinets are more of the trend. Our plan is to move in the next 3-5 years, so we don't want the house to look completed outdated.

Did you paint your cabinets? I have the same countertops and honey oak cabinets. I am planning to paint the cabinets a soft white with an accent color on the island. If you painted, what color did you go with?

NO NO NO!! to painting cabinets. White appliances and a new counter top would brighten that kitchen right up!!!

Match the warm white color that is in the backsplash. The color could be have a little taupe or gray undertones. Stainless appliances and satin nickel pulls. Neutral but nice

Yes, oak has not been on trend for quite some time. Same with the travertine backsplash.

I can’t seem to come up with a color that would go with your counter other than another light wood.Looking at your kitchen, I would see if refacing would work rather than painting.

I like Daisy’s idea of a different backsplash but I think it will be difficult to find something that will go with the counter. That is probably why a travertine was chosen.

I think your kitchen looks awesome, actually. Part of the reason is that it is very similar to mine (from the Cambria Nottingham, to the color of wood floors and cabinets, although mine are cherry wood, to the gold paint color to the black appliances!). I love the Cambria Nottingham countertops and hope that you kept that. I have never seen a quartz countertop that I liked more than Nottingham. It is gorgeous. The one thang that pops out to me right away that I thing should definitely be changed and will change the whole look of your room is the FAUCET! It looks pretty contractor-grade and ordinary and outdated. If you got a cool, black, updated gooseneck faucet and maybe installed a black pendant light above the sink, those small changes would go very far in updating your kitchen. Also black pulls and knobs on the cabinets. I love black appliances with Nottingham and hope that you got black or dark SS appliances. For an update perhaps change the gold wall color, although I do really like it.

Amazing what a year can bring. Oak is back on trend. Paint is a fad that will be an expensive oops.
