Reusing existing garage door track

Hi there,

i am replacing my chamberlain Stan o Matic with a chamberlain C253 myQ WiFi one.


i have already switched out the machine and linked the chain. But I didn’t install the new track and chain.

i am wary of testing it out. Is it dangerous to reuse the old chain and track? Will it also work with the existing sensors?
