Ours - 12x12 marble tile in a 5x7 bathroom

I like a 12 x24 porcelain tile on the floor and shower walls the same tile for both a smaller one for the shower floor and maybe depending on the size of the shower one vertical strip in the shower floor tile for an accent and no to the second pic too many different grays and whites with that new vanity. I like the first choices except I would only do one color of the large tile and that hex is marble so probably not on the shower floor maybe just a smaller tile in the same color as the large one on the shower floor,

You can't just replace tile in a shower. You have to replace all the waterproofing too.

Your shower was waterproofed correctly?

I did only bathroom floor tile not shower room. I don't like new bathroom tile so I decided remodel shower booth then need to pick new tile for shower booth wall and shower floor & bathroom tile match.

The second one is great

I prefer the first one! We used similar options in our powder room and the contrast is both elegant and sharp!!

Unless you are going for a dramatic look I think I would go with option #2 although I'm thinking option #1 won't look dramatic, just busy. Also, hex tiles seem to be the rage these days but I think they are already being overused and will look dated soon. Good luck!

More tile = more grout = more scrubbing. Be sure just how much work you want to do when it's cleaning time. Let that help decide how tiny you want your tiles to be...

I'm a lousy cleaner. I wish the prior owners left the tub in the bathroom - it's much easier to clean a tub than all that tile/grout...

The hex tile is beautiful. I've just installed it around a fireplace. Beware of small tiles for a shower floor though. While they look lovely, you will be constantly scrubbing the grout lines.

small bathroom - go with 2, # 1 will make it look smaller.

Love #2. I use Cleanshower on our shower floor every time I use the shower, backing my way out and spraying as I go. Really cuts down on the heavy duty scrubbing.

I prefer #1, but with the vanity, that's a lot of marble. The floor tiles in #2 may be too large to get the drainage slant you need. Here's a photo of small bath I recently updated, only the shower floor is marble. Porcelain tiles don't require the maintenance natural stone does. My "would do differently" is the lighting, LED but has yellowish tone and is not bright enough. I purchased online.. liked the style. Recommend seeing in person, in use.

Those are shadows on back wall, not water tracks.. I squeegee entire shower after every use.. only takes 3 or 4 minutes and keeps it sparkling.

I did this in the guest bath.

#1 is eye catching & #2 is more subtle. It’s all a matter of personal choice; you are the one seeing & cleaning it everyday. Recently had tub removed & shower installed in narrow bathroom. Daltile floor and MSI porcelain wall tiles. Lower wall tiles used 1’x2’ rectangular and upper tile above accent border used 18 inch squares turned diagonally. Used Lacitate grout, it comes with sealer already mixed into the dry grout. A little more expensive but mold & mildew proof translates to less scrubbing. We have better things to do! Sorry about pics couldn’t delete or correct. Top one gives a fuller view but is lighter in real time.

I like #1 better. But then again, I tend to prefer cooler colors in bathrooms because IMO they have a more crisp, clean look to it. On another note, the hex tiles in #2 appear to have a warm tone while the wall tile looks cooler. But it may just be my computer screen.
