Exterior Window Ideas

The photo is of the exterior of my daughter's home she purchased two years ago. She has been working on the interior little by little. She is now getting ready to start a remodel of the VERY small master bath. The center window on the second floor is the master bath window. She would like to change it to give her more options in the layout of the bath. I'd like suggestions, ideas, photoshop mockups of smaller windows that will give her more usable space in her bath that is still in keeping with the colonial style of her home. She has already changed out the front windows to 6 over 6 double hung, but can redo that one window and reuse in another area of the home. The home is in a Boston suburb. She will eventually add a portico as she hates the current little bump out. Thanks.

Change it how? Move it? Or change the size/shape of it. Shortening it is certainly an option and she can put an awning or casement in its place that will look like half of a double hung.

@Windows on Washinton Ltd. - She wants to replace it with something shorter and or narrower. Does it need to be the same shape/style - Could she use a small round window? She needs to get more interior wall space.

No reason you can't do a round window there, but I am not sure how much agreement or honestly, space savings, that would give her. I would stick to the square shapes, but she can certainly shrink the opening simply. The biggest issue is going to be the matching of the siding and making sure everything looks correct on that facade.

I agree that the exterior will be affcted and could lose something trying the match siding and I would need to see the floor plan of the bathroom to see what would be gained . I like that all the windows are the same style so I would not change that for sure.
