What to do with backsplash

I want some backsplash behind the range but am clueless. Where would you stop it? Where left cabinet stops or go all the way to the end of wall where opening starts? These cabinets feel lost to me, like they are just floating in limbo. I'm going ti add a small buffet to the right where they end but am open to any suggestions on pulling this together.

You already have a "backsplash with the stone behind the counter. Do not add a backsplash on top of that. It will look odd.

It doesn't need anything! Either leave it as is, or remove the granite backsplash and then tile from counter to base of upper cabinets. Don't do both.

Agree 100% with cpartist and chispa, you have a backsplash already in place.

Question for you, what do you mean you are going to add a buffet to the right? Do you mean a furniture type buffet or a built in? Please advise.

Im adding a furniture type buffet same color as cabinets. I just think the area where the cabinets are looks bland and thought I should do something. I guess not. Thank you,
