Only the most experienced DIYers should fool with epoxy grout.

Joe is correct, it's not for the inexperienced DIY or installer. There is no learning curve on it. Once had a client who insisted on using on their backsplash, and the installer was not versed in the product. Three buckets later, the backplash was done; they spent more on the grout than the tiles.

Laticrete's Spectralok Pro is the one I've used the most. From tile supply houses and it's probably available in some box stores as well.

If you're not fully committed to epoxy, I'd recommend you also look at some of the single components grouts, along the lines of Custom's Fusion Pro or equivalent.

look into Mapei FlexColor CQ. it's a urethane grout. acts similar to the Epoxy, but is easier to install. Clean up needs to be fast though. they have a video on it.

Epoxy grout is overkill in a properly waterproofed shower. It’s not needed. A properly waterproofed shower doesn’t need tile or grout either one to not leak. Tile and grout are the decorative surfaces only.

I am starting to lean towards Fusion Pro grout by Custom. Do you think this is a great product to use in the shower? Especially shower floor? Please let me know and thank you

It's a fine product. Read, re-read, read again, then heed the installation instructions. Custom has some installation videos out there as well. Watch, observe, then read the installation instructions yet again. You might also find a video by a competent contractor...certainly watch if you like, you might pick up a technique that simplifies, but does not obliterate, the manufacturer's installation instructions. Avoid any videos by yahoos who post "how to" videos on any and everything. They're just looking for clicks, likes, and subscribers.

Probably the biggest problem is people plow ahead as if it was a cement based grout, ie, they'll grout the entire area, then come back to treat the joints and clean up. I mean, "grout" is just "grout", right?

If you get too far ahead of yourself with any of the specialty grouts and they set up on the tile face before you've had chance to execute the cleaning process, it'll be a long, sad day. And night. Followed by a sad morning.

A sad morning that no cup of coffee, or bottle of whiskey, can cure.

Spectralox is generally accepted as easier to clean up and more DIY friendly. Do get the specific cleaners needed.

Laticrete Spectralock Pro. Only stuff I'll use.

As has been said, Spectralock Pro is quite good, but a bear to use if you insist on epoxy. Also, some of the lighter colours like white have been known to yellow after a time.

Fusion pro is good but need to follow the directions well. Flexcolor CQ is much the same and both need to cure 7-10 days before use.

Personally, I quite like the Prism grouts from Homer Burrito. Good color, antimicrobial and dries quite hard.....
