is this the only place your bed can go? these look like built-in shelves that would make a neat sitting area. do you have your furniture and bedding picked out? the bed headboard may determine what goes back there if you must have your bed placed here.

Hello. Yes, the bed will go here on this wall. I have no furniture picked out at this time. Guess I need to “get moving” with that decision too. Ha ha, it was much easier performing the whole house renovation than decorating it.

seriously - i think it was easier for me to build my house, picking out all the finishings, colors, etc, than it is to decorate it. one idea i had for the wall behind your headboard is to do an accent wall, like a plank/wood wall, different color, or pretty wallpaper. a large piece of art hung above the bed may help, too.
