I would look at a Noguchi in a wood finish

I like the idea too of a rectangular table. However, over the years I have felt boxed in so I look for versatility and therefore could see a pair of tables.

Hi. Before you think about a coffee table, I recommend other changes:

1) Center rug on fireplace

2) Remove the small items for the cabinets and the mantle

3) Art should be wider and shorter

4) Recommend cornices over windows or drape panels on outside only

5) Do you really need those large speakers?

Could you please provide more photos, so that I can make recommendations on the sectional?

Thanks celerygirl. I like the dual tones to the coffee table. I had been considering a round table or a really large farmhouse. The pictures certainly help.

Thank you for the additional photos. There have been so many good suggestions! Right now you can center the rug and that will help tremendously. Second, relocate and then balance the framed artwork to the scale of the fireplace. Once those are done you should “feel” what materials will work best for your room. There are so many options: Wood,Stone, Glass.
As an aside, I have similar sofas in my room and have found that cream colored (faux fur) 24” pillows and throw added so much to lift the weight of the dark sofas giving visual and practical comfort. I guess since I have them I can see them in your space. Can’t wait to see the room when done!

Key board looks extremely awkward where it is. I recommend removing the large dark chair and ottoman and moving the keyboard to the area to the left of the tv.

one thing I noticed is no side tables around any of the chairs or couch for any type of lamp. I would think you won't always want light from the ceiling, sometimes only one person in the room might want a lamp on by their chair?

That glass top on the Noguchi is really thick and not delicate at all.

not sure it will fit, but another thought is to move the keyboard to the right of the fireplace and then possibly move the sofa against the window further to the right. I would also suggest putting a chair to the left of the tv area angled inward toward the fireplace. can you take a pic standing at the fireplace and taking a picture out from there so we can see the sectional and the area behind it. you have a very nice space.
