Home designed with only two measly can lights over fireplace and one center fan with bad light. Adding ceiling or can lights not an option.

Ceilings are 15-20’ high. Need lighting on the dark piano side of room: task lighting for the piano and corner chair, but also want mid wall and / or ceiling light - all while avoiding glare, shadows (like by the bookcase), or UFO landing zone-brightness.

Am I delusional that this is possible? Am I asking the impossible? Oh, and plug-in preferred so I don’t have to involve my husband in this project. p.s. there are 2 plugs on either side of the tree, and two on either side of the bookcase.
