If it was me I'd try to flatten out the ceiling and move the light over to center it before getting a light.

I agree with Sammy. A larger oval, shaped table will help you use more of the banquette seating and help with the off-centeredness.

But I like the ceiling above the kitchen, Cubby. You’re right Sammy we could have bought a bigger table and goofed. Since that one was expensive I’m afraid that’s not an option. Maybe I should just use a ceiling light which would hang down. Arghhh

I totes agree about the table but cannot afford to get another one. I use the banquette as a sitting area to read with my feet up and look out the window. The table is used with the chairs only. I should’ve done things differently but it is what it is and I have to design around my mistake without making another mistake. Please help. ?

Is your table new? If so, you could try to exchange it—or perhaps swap out just the top.

Yes, Sammy. I was thinking of something like the first photo. Do you know if they have it in bronze and would prefer clear glass. I think it would de-emphasize my off center table. The second photo is great too but I want to match the light with my new bar lights. Thanks. ?

Sammy, great idea but I have this thing about glass tables. I just replaced the one we had because I couldn’t live with it. And I wanted to have the banquette built. The new table was bought online about 4 months ago. Can’t return/exchange. However, I think I am getting closer to what may work and I do like the looks of the lights you sent. Def. will look for more of that type.

Milo, we live in SW FL so the fan is nice but I need a change. Our budget is under $500 for the light.
