Would you recommend slate in a shower?

    Michelle,

    Natural slate is high maintenance in showers and I typically try to dissuade my clients from making this choice. This appears to be porcelain tile. I am a big fan of using natural products but if you are sold on a slate shower I would definitely chose a quality porcelain imitation.

    Hi Michelle! Patrick is correct. This particular shower features porcelain tile. There are mixed emotions when it comes to incorporating slate into a shower. Some people love it, while others do not. I've also heard someone describe slate in the shower as feeling "muddy" once it becomes wet.
