I’ve been storing my bread on a shelf in the pantry since we moved into the new house. However, it is not working as well as I hoped. The bread keeps getting squished; left open; or gets pushed off the shelf and lost. My first thought is a bread box. Do they work well? Is there something better? I like the photos with bread drawers, but I didn’t design my kitchen with one and don‘t want to lose cabinet space when I have a huge walk-in pantry. I typically have a couple loaves of store bought bread and an occasional specialty bread & rolls. I saw some dual shelf bread boxes online, but don’t want to spend $50 if there is something simpler & cheaper. Would love some ideas.
