I'm considering purchasing a white marble sink for my bathroom. Would this be a constant headache to keep clean (as opposed to porcelain?) Thanks for any thoughts.
I have a lot of marble in my bathroom - floors, counter, shower but I would not want to deal with a marble sink. Not to be graphic, but most people don't spit on their marble counters. There are far more potentially damaging stuff that gets rinsed into the sink.
I take reasonable precautions in terms of keeping harmful stuff out of the bathroom - i.e. all of my cleansing products are safe for all surfaces to prevent anyone from making an error and spraying Windex on the marble.
If it’s a spare bathroom, maybe. I have one that’s integral with the counter. Sometimes I wish I’d just done a porcelain undermount. It looks great, but I’d prefer something not porous.

This would be in the master bathroom - a vessel sink. It's an Avanity sink, (oval) on the Perigold website. I'm thinking it wouldn't be such a good idea.
You can’t go wrong with a porcelain undermount...
As others have posted, perhaps in a powder room which isn't used for anything but washing hands.
However, in my personal opinion, a vessel sink in a master is also not particularly functional as it is less convenient to use and more difficult to clean around.
