You need to be checking with your local municipality as to what sort of licensing you might require. Here, at the very least a business license would be required but since you will be selling an edible or consumable product, other licensing restrictions may apply.

If you have never operated a business before, then I'd suggest you take advantage of whatever classes might be offered in your area. The SBA routinely offers them for free.
