Did you ever get the rest of your RTA Cabinets? We ordered cabinets from RTA Cabinet Store on December 4th and are still waiting for the balance of our order that was supposedly backordered. Interested in hearing about your experience.

Can you tell me what the paint color is on the walls/island?

Lots of good decisions in doing over that kitchen space. It looks so much prettier, brighter, more interesting and functional. I think the best decision was moving the refrigerator out of where it was to it's new location.

Thanks Prairemoon - moving the Fridge was so important. When we first moved in - making it counter depth helped, but not enough. Also that wall is the view from the family room. I can express how much I live looking at our good and tiled wall now!! So happy with our Reno.

Very elegant and beautifully done! I usually do not like white kitchens but since you added such beautiful, dark colors, the kitchen does not look so sterile, which I hate. I understand the need to cover the orange counter tops--We have watermelon red and I can't wait until my hubby covers them!

Wow! You or someone you know has fantastic talent to have pulled that all together so perfectly. I'm not a fan of grey but I love the layering of materials/colors and how it highlights the architectural details that were just blah before. Very clever!

How is the back of your island finished? Love that look.

@mlb418 The family room side of the dog-legged peninsula is covered in tongue-n-groove paneling and painted same color as the kitchen walls.

Beautiful job! It certainly lightened up the whole space.

Added some color by hanging some copper pots under the hood. Also the doors for the cabinets next to the stove are finished in this photo.

Quartzite called White Sands. Note: the travertine floors weren’t old - just an earlier stage of our renovation.

I have to say how lucky were to finish this renovation before the lock down and we have thoroughly enjoyed our new kitchen now that we are home all the time. :)

Nice to be reminded of this very well done renovation. I just noticed that I also like the choice of having those large wide drawers for the base cabinets. I didn't have the situation for those, so I had to get cabinets with pull out shelves. Would have much preferred large drawers. I wonder if you love them? Nice to have those two cabinets that allow for trays to be stored. I ended up using a cabinet above the fridge for that. My cabinet comes out all the way to the front of the fridge too. It's very convenient and easier to get a tray out of that location than a lot of other things.

I was searching for this thread a few days ago as I was remembering how beautifully this came along. Can I ask what the name of the artwork you have in your kitchen is called? This is my favorite before/after.

Considering the year we’ve all experienced - it’s so lovely to have such a well organized used space with all the increased time at home. @prairiemoon - sorry I missed your question earlier. I love the drawers in the lower cabinets. Makes emptying the dishwasher so efficient and everything can be seen at a glance. Totally recommend.
