Mitsubishi split system making cracking noise

Hi, ever since it’s become winter and Ive needed best, my Mitsubishi split system heat pump has been making a cracking noise. It almost sounds like something is clicking against the plastic enclosure. Anyone have any idea of what this could be and how to fix it? should I hire a technician to come look at it?
