I need to check this out. Is this place in Garden Valley, Idaho? Christian, do you ever shop at Edward's for roses? This year, they don't list Yves, though they have sold it in the past. Not sure about Betty. Edwards has a fantastic selection--hundreds-- of clematis every year, not to mention the perennials. Diane

Carla -- I didn’t catch that when I was looking at their website last night. I have to say if anyone in California lives near them $25 bucks is a pretty good deal for a potted rose.

Diane - They are located in cali not Idaho. And Edwards is always a spring stop for me. I got my PCdM and Sweet Mademoiselle there.

I just ordered Betty White from them this afternoon! I've not purchased from them before, but learned they had Betty White for $25 and I'm close enough that I can pick up. They didn't offer an option to ship when I placed my order, but I can report back on quality if you're interested.

Re Garden Valley Ranch, yes, it is in Petaluma, which is in Northern California, about 1 hour from the SF Bay Area. I just wanted to say that I have gotten several roses there, including some tree roses, and they have all been wonderful. Of course we are lucky to be able to just go there and pick roses up.

Jackie, it must be nice to live close to nice rose nurseries like GVR.

I picked up my order from GVR yesterday. Their bareroot roses are Star roses in the paper pot with a plastic sleeve, you may have seen at nurseries like Summerwinds. I believe their bareroot roses are all grade 1 roses.

All the roses are still dormant and I can only imagine how gorgeous the gardens are in the spring! They have rows of dreamy roses I’ve not been able to find anywhere else, Kathryn Morley and Classic Woman (cream Yves Piaget) in their field grown for cut flowers for florists. I asked if they’ll offer Classic Woman as a nursery plant and the owner, Jessica, told me not currently but to check back from time to time.

Anyway, had a very positive experience! Met Jessica and Robert, who were both very friendly and helpful.
