Lady America, an oldie that has been doing exceptionally well the last few years. I was planning on it leaving here, but it has just bloomed too well to go.

Little Audrey is a small flowered one that blooms very early and continues til mid summer most years, and has rebloomed even though I don't think it is listed as a rebloomer

Little Bumblebee is my smallest flower, I don't care for small flowers too much but this blooms well and often reblooms. Not a registered plant

I wouldn't waste my money on Laughing Clown . This one has just been a big disappointment Always Splotchy! I got it for its bitone potential but it just always looks icky.

Lillian's Regal Robe, which is an offspring of Tet. Indian Giver, is superior to Indian Giver in my experience.

Lovin' Up a Storm was a gift plant. It's not my type or color, but it did put on a show last season.

I like Love All Serve All. It's tall and fertile.

Lotus Position put out some nice flowers last season.

Lori is not well known. It's not very tall, but it produces these lovely flowers with such broad petals and sepals. It was a bonus plant.

Last summer was the first bloom for Lincoln Andres. I'm not sure if I like this one or not.

Lillian's Thin Ice made some lovely blooms for us last season.

As a child, I collected spiders in a jar! The small ones that live in corners. That said, I still don't want a spider in the bedroom.

As far as spiders go, I hate them in my house. I’ve become fascinated watching those big garden spiders I find in my gardens in August. I look for them so I don’t disturb the huge webs, that would be icky.

I moved L. Cheese and Wine. It wasn’t happy, I’m hoping it settles in this season. Lord of Rings has been a slow grower. It’s not in an ideal spot. Kay shared Little Light of Mine with me. It’s getting established here.

Bob bought Lights of Detroit for breeding, but so far we have gotten anything out of it. Richard Norris used this one to prominently in his flat-faced diploid line.

In our cooler than normal temperatures at the beginning of last season, Lighter Than Air bloomed with a little more color than usual. Sometimes it is more tan. We got this one by mistake and I identified it by looking through the seller's complete catalog.

Light Forbes was one I picked up cheap for Bob since he likes orange so much. He loves it.

Liberty for All is one of the few true spiders we have.

Let's Dance Tonight is a southern bred daylily (from Greg Goff) that does very well for us. It's very fertile too, so we have a lot of seedlings from it also.

Lemon Meringue Pie is a good grower, but we have too many yellows so it will leave this spring.

Lava Flow is a favorite for several reasons. It is one of the first to bloom every season (even though it is not registered as extra early or even early). Buddy's Betsy beat it last season though. Also, the color is amazing. It was my first purchase from the Lily Auction so I guess it's the cause of my obsession.

Laurelwood's Ankle Biter is one of my favorite small-flowered ones. Technically, it's a large flower (4.5 inches), but it seems smaller in our garden. I am using it in hopes of getting small-flowered tets with teeth.

Lahaina is an old tetraploid. Bob loves collecting some of the historic varieties, but we just don't have room for them, so this will will go this spring.

I saved all of the small-flowered ones for last. This is one of my favorites--Lillian's Tears and Roses.

I think the color on Little Donny Darko is a bit dull, but I love the shape and the gracefulness of the scapes.

Little Man Tait is a tetraploid small-flowered daylily from Canada.

I can't get a good picture of Little Red Dumples. It has a velvety blackish overlay that the camera just can't pick up. This was a bonus plant that I was sure we would get rid of, but now I love it. It is a true miniature and the little scapes can be branched like trees.

Luscious Kiss was new last season and spent the summer in a pot. It performed amazingly. I am so happy with this one. And, lucky me, it was a bonus with an order to Northern Lights Daylilies.

Little Summer Star is relatively new to the garden so the jury's still out on its performance

If I only had more room, I could fill it with all the pinks, oranges and yellows I love...........Speaking of pinks; Nan: It's a good thing that Laurelwood's Ankle Biter isn't easily available or I might just have to have it. I was thinking just the other day what was the name of that small flowered daylily you posted last season that so intrigued me and this is it. The orange Lori is another attention getter for me. Sherry - Lime Peel is in a bad place now that gets too much shade. It's never multiplied much, but maybe I can move it to a better place this year. The bloom is large and pretty. Lake Tahoe Autumn doesn't open well until it's really hot, and it often splotches, so I don't have any clump shots. When it has five or six blooms, only a couple of them are photogenic.

My nemesis in the gardens are the spiders. Sort of like Brad ,I used to catch things in a jar. I used to go berry picking with my grandmother . I carried a jar to collect the berries. There were many times the berries got tossed in order to collect a field mouse and bring it home

I have always liked mice but spiders are a different story ,especially those big ugly multicolored ones in the gardens with the horribly strong web. I once needed to get rid of one of those to access one of my gardens . I didn't have any bug spray so I sprayed it with oven cleaner ( twice ) That stuff didn't bother it at all. I ultimately resorted to two pieces of two by four ....no way was I risking this humungous 8 legged beast anywhere near me . . Blech!!!!!!!!!! Worst of all it didn't even rain after getting rid of the darn thing .(so much for that old wives tale!)

Nancy 6b Lavender Deal clump is impressives and Levi Davis is one I have been interested in for a while but I keep seeing different images of it and they are all different colors. I thought Levi Davis was supposed to be peach or apricot with purple ? Linda Beck really caught my eye.

Heather, I like the look of Levi Davis, but so far I can't say much about the performance. It took a couple of years to bloom, it had bloomed the last couple of years, but not abundantly. It has only increased by one fan. Celeste sent it to me, and I see she still has hers, so not too far north to do well. Maybe I just need to move it.

Heather, the L is Longfields. I’m guessing this company paid for the rights to sell Cheese and Wine. I purchased it at a local nursery a few years ago. It was a great grower til I moved it.

Liberty Banner sure looks good in Celeste and Brad's gardens. I'm looking forward to seeing blooms on mine next season. Labryinth really calls to me. I bought it last fall, but what arrived had gone mostly dormant. I don't know if it will survive.
