Blue Cabinets - Question

Has anyone designed their Kitchen with all (or mostly) blue cabinets? If so what shade of blue did you choose? Are you happy with the choice? We are still discussing going this route and with white appliances it's a big decision. Any photos are appreciated - thank you for viewing the post and we appreciate your input and feedback.

Not a pro and haven't had a blue kitchen but

I do like this one (as far as it goes -- needs at least an other wall of cabinets.

https://donpedrobrooklyn.com/blue-kitchen-cabinets/  Blue cabinets can be beautiful. Here is a link to several, different color blues. It might help with your decision.

I love blue cabinets. About 10+ years ago we painted our old condo cabinets a marine blue and loved it. It held up well until we finally were able to do a kitchen remodel. And when we remodeled we used a mix of bright white and very dark blue-black cabinets.

This picture was taken as we were planning our remodel but it shows the old marine blue color.

I don't have a picture of our "in-progress" kitchen but we have used the IKEA Ringhult high-gloss white cabinets with an island of the Jarsta high gloss blue black cabinets. The combo is shown on this picture from IKEA, The cabinets have been installed in my kitchen and I love them. We did use stainless appliances. I considered white appliances as an option, too, but I couldn't get an induction range in white.

I once painted my kitchen walls in a different house a grey blue and hated it so much I painted them a different color the same week. My feeling on blue is that you have to go bold or go home.

I think blue can be beautiful but IMO it depends on the color of blue and also the style of your space. I must say I would probably not have white appliances but that is my personal choice I think they limit you to what you buy for function.. Maybe a post some pics of the rest of the spaces in your home to give us an idea of your style..

Thank you for your kind response Patricia. The kitchen design is below after many hours, revisions and a lot of thought. Doorstyle is Kraftmaid Sonata, which is a little different from the Lyndale. The current kitchen is dark brown with orange countertops which looks great for about a week in October and when the Cleveland Browns win. (we are in Northern Ohio) The pics of the current Kitchen are in another thread called "kitchen cabinet color(s) What would you do?" Given the below and that we are stuck with the white appliances for now and many a year to come any suggestion would be appreciated. As for a style - It ranges from modern to shaker - No oak furnishings, though oak hardwood flooring runs throughout most of the house, except for the F/R which has Rosewood flooring. Teak, Cherry and Maple are preferred for furniture. Pale green couch / LS set in F/R and 'reddish brown' leather in LR.

Did you decide what color to do yet?

PRO/ Renovisions: You don’t have to paint all the cabinets – leave some cabinets white - For a partial colour makeover, I recommend that my clients paint cabinets that are already visually different from the rest, for example, a tall pantry versus standard cabinets or glass door.
