Does this arc lamp look ridiculous in this space?

Hubby's not a fan - I said, let's give it a few days, but I'm wondering if it's the Emperor's New Clothes and don't want to admit it doesn't work -- or does it (?)

(we tried the other side and it hits the ceiling fan) .

Thoughts please :)

sorry,,,not a fan either..I do have an arching lamp, which can retract to a straight lamp, but our room is larger and so is the sofa..I would say get a floor lamp for the corner and if you need more light, get a table lamp for the other side of the sofa

It does not work with that sofa. Or side table. Or coffee table. Or tower table. It could work with the rug. It and the rug are the better pieces to keep.

you are right - may have to send it back -- besides, the bottom piece (marble) came broken and smashed all over --I figured we'd try it and see before we got the replacement.. thanks all!

What Patricia said. An arcing lamp should “arc” into the room, not be on the side.

It wouldn’t be comfortable to sit there with it turned on, you’d feel like your in an interrogation chair. Beside the fact that it’s too big, wrong style, etc.
